According to reports, last month the late Pele celebrated his mother's 100th birthday, he also posted some pictures of his mother and himself on Instagram.
Known as the 'King' of football, Pele was the only player in history to win three World Cups in 1958, 1962 and 1970. Pele, who retired in 1977, was diagnosed with colon cancer in 2021. The tumor was removed by surgery. But after the surgery he continued to be sick, even after that he was admitted to the hospital more than once.
According to reports, at the end of November, Pele was admitted to the hospital due to illness and his illness could not be treated. On December 21, doctors said that Pele's cancer had relapsed, so he needed more care. He died a week after admission.
